Rochon is the daughter of Zelma Staples and Samuel Staples. She was born in Torrance, Los Angeles, to Zelma Staples as well as Samuel Staples. Cerritos Senior High School, in Cerritos California is the place where Rochon was a student in 1982. Ullerup first appeared in Battlestar Galactica remake, the Sci Fi Channel's 2006 television show. She played Julia Brynn. Her character, Ashley Magnus, was written out of Sanctuary's first and second seasons. The reason for her departure was a source that caused heated discussion among the supporters, with many people wanting her back for future episodes until the show was canceled in 2012. In 2016, Ullerup was cast as Bree O'Brien in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup played Maggie Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact, the movie about the 2015 disaster. Ullerup also played Dale Travers, a recurring role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films, from 2016 to present.
