Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides easy techniques any person can master. Chef Burrell worked at New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and geography. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most fun time of my life. It was impossible to learn and do enough or put in the hours. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy taking classes at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she was able to fully comprehend and appreciate the philosophy behind Italian cuisine and culture which made a lasting impression from a culinary perspective. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps children with obstacles. as a speaker, guest and mentor she travels across the U.S. to share her culinary passion and professional career. Through her culinary adventures, Anne often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my true passion to others.
